Extremely Slack!

Well It seems I'm not the greatest blogger on earth... maybe its cos I have the whole of 1 follower - my mum or maybe its what I tend to talk about isnt really all that interesting. So I've decided to put a slightly different spin on my outlook of blogs. I would also like to blog what I do - lets call it my own personal record of what I get up to so in my old age I can look back and remember - that is isI can remember how to use a computer thingy bob and passwords in my old age!
So a very brief recap of my year I guess....

Jan 24, 25, 26 - AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND Bug Stu's 1st Annual Extravaganza weekend!!
I don't really know if much more need to be said than great friends, good times, fab weather and unbelievable aussie pride! Celebrated in fabulous style with BBQ's, drinking and a slightly too small blow up pool!

Feb 7th & 8th - Peterborough's Ute Muster and Rodeo! we couldnt have gotten anymore covered in red dirt even if we tried! Paro might have learnt that travelling with girls isnt always the smartest thing to do and we learnt 40degrees in the country calls for a ute tray lined and converted into a swimming pool! good to party with old friends and new friends.... a quick cruise home via bull rush to make it for Esmay's baby shower!!

Feb 14th - Valentines Day! Partied in true singles style - we had a lovely romantic dinner at mandy's... Dj got us all a red rose and we got to spend some quailty time with Joel's missus, the crazy Swedish chick, Julia! With a new fire engine red hair do - we partied just as hard in town!

Feb 28th - All my friends got to party at Marrabel Rodeo - while I went to Melbourne with mum for the Quilt Show in Carlton. Sad to miss out on Shantel's 21st but I enjoyed spending some quailty mother daughter time..... eating the most amazing food, being jealous of the Melbourne life and wanting to pack my bags as fast as possible and not to mention buying my very first pair of Wrangler Boots.... I was in heaven!

Mar 14th - Katie Bowman's 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh how we all looked forward to this do for months! and I can honestly say the hype definately lived up to its name! With a massive container of punch which it seems only us few girls were drinking we were up for a ripper! Pocket, Turner, Bowman and myself travelled from the city to the Bowman family shack in Beachport - and perhaps they wont' want us to return! Proud to say after many litres and heading to bed about 6:30 I did not spew!! I was extremely proud!

Mar 21st - After a slow recovery from Katie's 21st we decided to hit the town for the night of nights - clipsal 500... it was such a night of night none really wanted to go but it WAS the thing to do to be seen! It ended that the majority of us had a fight with someone or another and we all headed home pretty sober and angry! But we did get to see everyone I spose. Bittersweet night we also had to say farewell to renee who decided to leave us for a boy and Melb!!

Most Thursday's these few months Katie and I had regularly set a night to catch up and party like nut cases in the Shed! Not quite the same without Brendan playing but DJ Mike got the wheel crankin and remembered our fav songs so we always had fun!
I'm also workin at Facial Attractions at this point and studying cert 4 in beauty therapy.

April 10-11-12-13 EASTER long weekend! Who doesn't enjoy a long weekend especially when your boss lets you have the entire time off!?! Mandy, Jess, B, Wally, Kristie, Jack, Stu, Shane, Andy and myself got all dressed up (and what a good lookin bunch we were) and headed to the Oakbank races - contemplaiting channel 9's limo! Perfect weather, great mates, 4eski's of alcohol and some horses (i heard they were there for some kind of race?!) Having a chance to see a lot of the Lenswood, Oakbank and Gum crew it was fabulous! not to mention my little sis was home from the states and gonna party with me! All good til we went on a ride with Heu - not my wisest move ever! Topped of with the rest of the wknd in trackies in the swinging chair on Mandy's deck!!

April 18 - Barossa Vintage Festival Walk and Rock the Mount at Melrose! 2nd year I've entered the vintage festival walk from nuriootpa to tanunda with Yalumba. This year we were 160years young and dressed as candles - yes candles!! not rockets! definately worth it even if just for the photos!! Then up to Melrose for a classic rock the mount and mischief! Good to see many of my friends I had missed so much! Not to mention Bailey's for breakfast with Julie, Craig and Dawn!

April 25th was a touching day as we remember the ANZAC's that fought for our country... dawn service - i couldnt drag myself sore wine head outta bed for but watching the mums at footy tear up when the played the song b4 the game was pretty touching! Gum won footy and players auction pumped us all up for a massive night before making our way to Forreston for Chloe and Simmo's engagement party! Even with the mud and rain and more mud and falling the the mud it was still one of the best engagements i've been to in a long while! Congrats guys!!

May 3rd - Katie and I (now the newly unemployed care of the economic crisis) pack our bags and travel once again to Melbourne! This time to shop hard and party even harder at the Brooks and Dunn concert! Having lost my voice after Dierks Bentley played - we were pumped as for B&D!! Fantastic night polished off with drinks and timezone partying with eccles and lizzy! (despite havin lost my phone and camera!!) Even got to squeeze in a trip out to the suburbs to visit my fav family, kyza and co!

Most weekends throughout Winter if we have nothing else better on we spend it at the Gum footy club or pub!! What better way to spend a wet and cold winter day!?

Mandy my best mate's 37th birthday on May 16th! Slightly sad that some people wouldnt make the effort - Mandy, Jess, Julia and myself spent the day with the boys at footy, dinner with Julie and Craig - and lost hot chips and then made our way to celebrate in town - we planned to party everywhere but never made it futher than the jager bombs and jugs of rum people bought for us! Must admit the four of us looked amazing and were definately out for a good night - which i'm pretty sure we achieved!

The next wknd was Wally's 22nd birthday celebrations but from Mandy's birthday Jess and I had come down with shocking cold and spend the week in bed! Slightly picking up in health but still not well enough to really party we decided to head to the Bridgeport Pub in Murray Bridge, which lucky for us was holding the karaoke finals! Big glasses of $5 beer and laughing at costume changes and new friends was a surprising enjoyable night - up until the numerous amounts of yeasty beers had to exit the body for Mandy! lol On the plus side I had my first run in with Twilight and Jess and I decided we could watch it over and over and so the reading of the series began!

June long weekend we planned to take Jamie and Kane camping - due to fantastic wet weather and barking coughs we decided against the camping and voted on a shed party at Mandy's! Dragging it out all weekend in true style as we do! Copious amounts of alcohol was induced and many many laughs! I should also mention that week our exchange student from France came to stay with us for 5weeks. Aurilie was introduced to our Aussies version of the bogan, BBQ and bundaberg rum!

June 13 - Kersbrook vs. Gumeracha! Always guaranteed for an interesting night! We had live bands at Kersbrook club and pub (with topless barmaids!) and the Gumeracha pub! Voted the gum club then pub! Julia met her new fling and Tomas and Cosh visited from Port Vincent! Once again more drinks and mischeif, Rhys, Gunja and Jacquie are to blame! lol

Over the many years of celebrating for no real reason my main drinking hole has been the infamous Woolshed - the country pub in the city! Over the times change of owners change of scene - we used to be able to in wearing boots, jeans shirts and a hat and would get lost in the crowd of everyone wearing the same! If you go in with your hat now - you stand out like dog's balls! as a r esult of this many of our friends have also grown up and moved on and parted ways. In a tempt to get some of the familiar old faces together again we organised an 'Old Regular's Night' on June 20th! Was absolutely fantastic catching up with old friends - a little sad more didnt come but it was still an amazing night! Next time I will not drink prior to going in and wont get ppl to buy all my drinks... the head hurt for days!

I would also like to make mention over this time I became an aunty twice! Kaden Thomas Anthony was born 7th March 2009, 6lb 5oz 48cm, baby brother to Declan and proud mummy Racheal! After so many problems during the pregancy we were all so happy to see his arrival! Even if he was to spend the next few days in the neonatal ward! Proud Aunty Liv got first cuddles when he was only 1 day old! and has decided she will steal him at any chance she can get! I became Aunty again May 5, Noah Patrick! He was coincidently born on the Patchwork Apple's 15th birthday - we felt it was a little omen in memory of his grandma! Alicia is a proud mum and motherhood seems to suit her well a little too well perhaps! I still haven't had a chance to see him yet but his photos ive seen are super super cute!

Another big thing for my family is we were once 6 people we downsized to a fmily of 4 as Jess and Shayne's house was finally completed!! Beautiful big house in Strath and despite the morgage they love it! and we are all extremely jealous we dont have all the new stuff they have!
